The Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DOH) has launched the Patient Authentication Program (PAP)

As part of the "AAMEN" program to ensure all healthcare facilities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi are compliant with information security and data privacy standards required to protect sensitive patients' healthcare data.

The PAP electronically authenticates patients' identity through Emirates ID Card and fingerprint during encounters with healthcare providers.

The program aims to assure the data quality and integrity, enhance the patient's user experience, and ensure compliance with data privacy requirements.

All healthcare facilities that provide healthcare services requiring patients' healthcare data registration are requested to fill out the attached registration form, excluding emergency departments, pharmacies, and urgent care centers.

The DOH Patient Authentication Program (PAP)  is an important step towards ensuring the privacy and security of patient data in Abu Dhabi's healthcare system.

By electronically authenticating patients' identity, healthcare providers can provide more efficient and effective care to patients while ensuring compliance with data privacy requirements.
